Tracey Devlin joins Leadent - 02.10.2006
Leadent, the results-focused management consultancy, has hired Tracey Devlin, formerly Head of Public Services Consulting at SAP, the world’s third largest independent software provider, as part of an ambitious plan to grow its public sector business.
Leadent is one of only six UK consultancies awarded ICT Consultancy, Catalist Framework Agreement by OGCbuying.solutions to provide Enterprise Resource Planning Consultancy to the UK public sector. Devlin, an active member of the eGovernment Shared Services Advisory Board, already looks set to bring a deep understanding of the change and technology challenges of the public sector to the company.
Devlin’s international career has spanned organisations including Deloitte and Touche, Coopers and Lybrand and Origin Technology prior to joining SAP Canada in 1998. Setting up the company’s Public Services Consulting division, her significant achievements in growing the practice were recognised when she became a member of SAP’s Strategy Leadership Team and was awarded the Circle of Excellence in January 2006.
Alastair Clifford-Jones, CEO of Leadent, says: "For too long 'change management' has not been subject to the same financial scrutiny as other elements of the consulting process. At a time when public sector spending is under the spotlight, we are confident that Tracey’s skills and our business transformation approach will deliver accountability and value to public sector bodies who know they must make change happen if they are to meet the expectations of stakeholders in to the future."
Tracey Devlin adds, "It is vital for public sector bodies introducing new technology to ensure that they are ready for change. People must be empowered and enabled by new systems so that the technology doesn’t end up 'running them'. I see Leadent as a new generation consultancy, whose eyes remain fixed on the horizon and the broader commercial picture. I look forward to working with an organisation which can combine niche IT expertise with the strategic ability to get to the heart of the matter, identifying and solving problems which obstruct organisations achieving necessary change."
